The third edition of Eggheads’ End of Session/Prize Giving Ceremony held at the School’s multi-purpose hall on Saturday, 20th July 2019. It was held under the chairmanship of Mr Soromtowechi Achara. It was an occasion organized to officially bade goodbye to the Senior Secondary School three students who had just ended their Senior School Certificate (SSCE). In addition, it was meant to appreciate God for His grace for everyone associated with the school during the academic session. Furthermore, it was also an occasion to recognize the effort of the outstanding students and members of staff during the academic year.
To add glamour to the occasion, the three clubs in the school showcased their activities. However, the climax of events was the awards of prizes to deserving students. Among the categories of awards were: Best students in English Language; Best student in Mathematics; Best behaved student; Neatest student and the Best Graduating student. These awards were class- based. Members of staff were also given awards in various areas of their competence. Meanwhile, a special award was given by the Arts Club to Miss Sotonge Pepple, who had three literary materials in the ‘End of Session booklet’. This was to encourage her literary creativity.
In her closing speech, the Deputy Director of the school, Mrs Grace E. Williams advised the graduating students to be good ambassadors of the school wherever they found themselves. She also encouraged the staff of the school to put in their best as hard work would continue to be recognized and rewarded by the management of the school.
